A Day at the Haven

The following is an example of our daily rhythm, and the activities little ones will be

engaged in on a typical day at the Haven.

A Day at the Haven

Drop Off / Morning Greeting - practical life play, sensory exploration, gardening, outdoor free play

Circle Time - songs, movement and verse built upon current seasonal themes reflected in nature; includes games and movement that enhance healthy brain development

Morning Activity - gardening, nature craft, wet on wet painting, clay work, coloring, baking, cooking

Indoor Play - the Haven is set up with intentional play materials to invite children into healthy expressions of play, including sensory meditations/exploration, practical life practices, and imaginative play (materials are simple, as through Waldorf philosophy we understand that this  encourages complex thought later in life and offers other therapeutic benefit)

Organic Snack - changes seasonally; fruit salad,
Vegetable soup & wholesome grains

Outdoor Free Play - the outdoor play area is intentionally built to encourage movement that is supportive in early childhood development of both brain and body, along with the development of practical life skills like gardening and woodworking; there also are specific zones that invite connection with nature

Story Time / Puppetry - seasonal stories are offered to children that convey positive ethics and wholesome principles to nurture their inner beings
